From Foundry to Custom Fabrication - A Legacy of Craftsmanship

At Trevathan Bros Machine & Fabrication, our Tennessee roots run deep. Brothers Frank and Richard Trevathan grew up learning the trade from their granddad, who founded the Gleason Foundry in 1933, prior to WWII.

The foundry crafted manhole covers, water meter covers, and other essential metal parts. When the war broke out, Granddad left to help build bombs in Oak Ridge. Upon his return, he shifted the company’s focus, creating the infamous Gleason Foundry Clay Shredder, a machine still offered by the Trevathan brothers today.

Stop by the shop and see some of Grandad’s original, pre-WWII water meter covers—a piece of history we’re proud to share.

Built on Experience, Driven by Passion

In 2003, the Trevathan brothers founded their own business, Trevathan Bros. Machine & Fabrication. For over two decades, we’ve been solving the toughest mechanical challenges for farmers, industrial businesses, and local residents. From custom fabrication and mobile welding to installing grain systems and irrigation bridges, we take pride in delivering reliable solutions with a personal touch.

We don’t just work metal – we build solutions.

When We’re Not in the Shop

When they’re not busy welding and fabricating, you may run into Frank and Richard enjoying a round or two of golf or out hunting, fishing, relaxing at the lake or out and about having fun with their families. They work hard but also know the importance of a balanced life and the importance of spending time with family and friends and helping out in their community.
